  • The Old Violin

    The strings of grandpa's violin
    Awaits the master's hands
    Setting in the corner
    Trying to understand
    Years have long past
Since his fingers stroked the strings
Invading tunes into the night time air
    Making the old violin sing
Memories of melodies now invade the air
Allowing my soul to hear what once was played
Now only dust covers its strings
Looking as if its been betrayed
The day will come when Angels will arrive
Taking my soul for a heavenly ride
The heavenly gates where all things come true
And Angels wipe the tears that have been cried
I will ask the angels at this special time
One front row center seat on God's heavenly shore
    Handing over the old violin
So grandpa can play the the strings once more © 2010

  • Immortal Celtic Dreams

    Conforming to fog drizzled dreams
    Celtic lore paints the theme
    Depositing their notes
    Upon nerves that dream

    Love drenched by Celtic lore
Preserving the mystery of their tune
    Polished by windswept charm
Vaporizing stress from nerves that are immune

Earth from whence all things pass
    Mortal matter confronts its end
Burying death in silence of the dust
Dreams of Celtic lore never condescends

  • Mortal Dreams

    Weeping moon
    Dusted with gold
    Casting your spell
    As dreams unfold
    Cotton linin
    White as snow
    Encase two lovers
    While dreams flow
    White linen sculpt
    Lover's mortal mold
    Delineating two lovers
    Bathed in gold © 2010

  • Treason Upon Your Soul

A total of 11 church fires so far this year in Texas. I feel sorry for the congregations that have lost their home of worship and I also feel sorry for the individuals that are so filled with hate that they commit these tragedies. I wrote the following poem after the latest church fires on February 8th at Dover Baptist Church and Clear Spring Missionary Baptist Church. The churches are located about three miles apart near Tyler, Texas. http://www.cnn.com/2010/CRIME/02/11/texas.church.fires/

    Nighttime sky fiery glow
    Sparked by embers
    That you control
    Your brunt offering
    That you conferee
    Serves the serpent
    From the tree

    I the Lord
    Weep the tears
    Not for my home
    That you impair
    For the treason
    That you extol
    Upon your soul

    I the Lord
    Will quench the fires
    From tears that flow
Weeping upon your soul © 2010

  • Seven Seas

    Cradled between bow and stern
    Hewn with sweat and blood
Drawn and axed, split and shaved
    Built to oppose all floods
Keelson raised with grit and gore
Lifted nigh by might and wield
Pit and pitch, pegged and planked
    Bilge to bottom sealed
    Nighttime lore sets the sails
    Voyage upon seven seas
Mast and boom, trim and draft
    Rigged and full with breeze
    Listen mates to Satan's call
Lifted nigh by might and force
Wicked and black, pitched and tossed
    Satan controlled the course
    Hands from a watery grave
    Grasped and engulfed the hull
Lifted and dropped, pitched and tossed
    Satan's breath made the call
    Cradled between bow and stern
    Men with flesh and souls
Fear and aches, prayers and pain
Rudder of God is in control
    Nighttime sky velvet black
    Blankets the aquamarine
Quiet and dark, solitude and peace
    Now silence permeates the scene
    New dawn paints the sky
    Spreading peace upon the sea
Praise and thanks, tears and joy
Casting hope on seven seas   © 2010

  • Paper Dreams

    Dreams spin
    Gyroscope of life
    Gathering scenes
    Throughout
    The moonlit night
    The tour begins
    Before the dawn
    Navigating the nerves
    As images spawn
    Through gossamer vapor
    Angels paint the dreams

  • Memories and Dreams

    The moon swallowed the sun
In the silence of the night
Only the God of the universe
    Could help us reunite

    Candle glows faint on dreams
    That we used to share
    Surely this hour of darkness
Angels protect the dreams we once shared

    I have cried the tears
Upon sand where we used to lay
    Barefoot and free
    We made memories that stay

    Something seems odd
    Time without you
    Only memories and dreams
For the soul that I knew

The candle seems not to care
As the last flicker of light
    Leaves me alone
    Encased in moonlight

    I will close my eyes
    Pray the same prayer
    Grant me our dream
That we used to share © 2010

  • A Lie (Changed the ending)

    in the dark depths
    I creep and crawl
    soundlessly
    slithering through human depravity
    flesh and bone
    devouring your inner cavity
    tastefully
    tarnishing your character
leaving a shadow of one's shell
    ingeniously
in one last address of farewell
    I drive the last nail
    deceivingly
    hanging the shingle
    of my profession
    completely
    kiss your character goodbye

  • Eighty Eight

Eighty eight keys entwine their arms
Embracing two souls of enchanted lore
Casting dreams across the melody of notes
Barefoot lovers entwine their love upon the oak wood floor

Eighty eight constellations revolve once more
Gathering the notes of music for heaven's door
Angels attract two souls on their list
    Entwining their hearts forever more

    Eighty eight dots and dashes
A special code of love sent from above
Spell out God's Hugs and Kisses
For two barefoot lovers beloved © 2010
