  • Immortal Celtic Dreams

    Conforming to fog drizzled dreams
    Celtic lore paints the theme
    Depositing their notes
    Upon nerves that dream

    Love drenched by Celtic lore
Preserving the mystery of their tune
    Polished by windswept charm
Vaporizing stress from nerves that are immune

Earth from whence all things pass
    Mortal matter confronts its end
Burying death in silence of the dust
Dreams of Celtic lore never condescends

  • This was a very nice read for me. Celtic music has such beauty; and I feel almost transported when I listen to some of the songs and the instrumantal. Your poem begs for music with it. ” depositing their notes on nerves that dream..”  beautiful.

  • @ZSA_MD - Thanks so much for your comment … I love Backmore’s Night music especially the song “Under a Violet Moon.” Thanks again!

  • The Celts may be gone, but their music transcends time. Your poem eloquently captures that fact. “burying death in silence of the dust, dreams of Celtic lore never condescends” So true.

  • @zionlover - Thanks so much for your comment! Yes I love the music of Blackmore’s Night. I hope to see them in concert someday. Thanks again!
