  • Reflections of Truth

Mirror why do you frustrate me so
    Showing every detail
    Screaming too the world
    Every fault that prevails

I have tried to creep by
    Not to make a sound
    Your hearing must be stupendous
You capture every detail and expound

    Even in complete darkness
    I wonder what you reflect
    My mind tells me
You have recorded every detail without neglect

I would like to break you and toss you
    But can’t stand the thought
    Seven years of bad luck
    Just because we fought

    Your perfection kills me
    Reflecting only what you see
I have now realized the truth
I need to accept me, I need to accept me © 2010

  • Yeah! The sad truth of it all… if you can’t overcome them, you have to be with them.

  • You’re compliments are very touching. Thank you :)

Cool poem! I’m guessing it’s about your girlfriend? i’m not quite sure

  • @chr1st1an - Actually it about me and the mirror … I sometime don’t like what I see … so I have to accept me as who I am.

  • @ZSA_MD - Thanks for stopping by and the mirror always tells the truth unfortunately.

  • “screaming to the world”

I enjoy it, I wanted for the ending something regarding how the mirrors reflection is an empty photograph, incapable of catching the glint of the soul that gives us all true expression.

Thank you for rapping on my chamber door,
