A Cowboy’s Dream
I danced with a dream on the marble court of love
Permitting the dream to gallop upon my inner soul
Inner bone of my marrow and my heart pierced with Cupid’s arrow
I danced with hope and allowed fantasy to take control
The night was old and not all dreams are allowed to unfold
The light of new day vanished the marble court and all of this went away
Only star dust covering my sheets and hoof prints as receipts
Dreams mounted upon their high horses without remorse and galloped away ©2008

Beautiful………….
I use to show horses for 14 years. I miss those days. I loved running free through our wild meadow , the wind wiping my hair as we ran .
Wishing you a Grand Day

@Gypsywings2fly - Thank you for your comment on my poem. I use to ride horses with my cousins who lived on a farm and of course use to show horses, rabbits, cows, and, hogs at the 4H county fair. Thanks for your comment.
