Lies are harmful, yes. And sometimes we can never forget the pain they’ve caused. But we also have the power to forgive. And that is something that we should all try to do a little more often. Something such as a lie only has the power to destroy if YOU give it that power.

I wonder if it is possible for humans not to lie. sometimes it just seems so natural.
but lying is almost always a bad thing in a friendship. thanks for the poem & its message.

@Alyxandri - I think sometimes people lie to protect themselves and other times they lie to protect a friend from hurt. I am sure that there not one person that can say they have never lied. (Except Jesus) I know I have in the past … and I have learned that honesty is the best! I thank you for your comment.
