Crippled Soul
The mangled metal of cars that clash
Marks the metal of the crash
So obvious is the fight
Two cars mangled in the night
The mangled souls that clash
Scars the souls that once flowed
Tear upon a cheek does show
Two souls mangled in the night
Metal fixed all bright and new
Painless to fix anew
Crippled soul feel the pain
Scars the mind to being insane
If I am the one that closed our door
That scars did make
Accept my love once more
Mend your soul for friendship sake
Dry the tear
Upon your cheek
Trust this man to remove the fear
So our souls can speak © 2008

Great analogy with the crashing cars… I can tell this one came directly from the heart and soul…
Nice write. Thanks for these wonderful words. Judi
@Adamission12 - Thank you for comment on my writing … I often feel that many of my poems are not worth posting … or that they are never finished to post. I truly thank you for your comments. Steve
@jassmine - Thank you very Judi for your comments on my poem. Wishing you the very best that life has to offer.
Thanks for the reminder that the angels are here to guide us. I am praying. I spent a long time in prayer today so feel a lot better. Judi
I’m here on Adam’s rec., but I would have come anyway. Thanks for visiting. You actually write very well. You shouldn’t hesitate to post.
Powerful analogy. The imagery works really well to connect the ideas, so I couldn’t have picked a better one myself. Great job.
P.S. Everything is worth writing about.
@jacksoncroons - Thank you for your comment on my writing … I guess I am like artist that never feels the canvas of emotions is complete … I will post more as I write every day. Thanks for your encouragement and I wish the best that life has to offer. Steve
@RisingRebirth - Thank you very much for your comment … this is one of my poems that I had doubts about, but several of you really like the analogy … I guess I am my best critic. LOL Thanks again for commenting and I wish you the best as you journey through this thing called life. Steve
