A Winter’s Day Walk
walking
upon frozen ground
crackling spines of pine cones
wondering and searching
hoping to be aloneearth
drained
from winter cold
I will set
dream some dreams that were never toldsky
painted purple
overlayed with hues of gold
too tired to rise
God allow my life to unfoldwind
endless
hardens the ground
listen I will
as pine needles compose their soundwalking
upon frozen ground
crackling spines of pine cones
searching in wonder
realizing I am not alone ©2010
